ABOUT FINISHES - A QUOTE ABOUT JEREMY LIPKING'S WORK

What a MASTER!!!

"The magic occurs in the finish. As he progresses, he gradually refines each area, adjusting relationships of color and adding deft touches to define select elements. He brings certain forms to a razor sharp level of finish. Other passages are left vague and undefined. In this interplay of sharp and loose, the painting literally opens up and breathes. This is what makes his art seem so lifelike. Instead of resting as static images, his canvases pulse with the subtle energy of a living thing."

BILL DAVIDSON FINISHES A FOUR DAY INTENSIVE

OPA Signature Member, Bill Davidson, finsishes a four day intensive landscape workshop with sixteen gifted participants. Day one started with 'creating' your own rocks, cliffs and water. Why not start with the tough stuff first??? The group must of been drained because Bill kept them every night until 6:30. Thanks, Bill, for coming!!!

Here are some comments:

"Bill, you are a real taskmaster, BUT good gosh, we learned (or were exposed) to so much!!! Thank you for your time, your explanation of what you are doing on the canvas so we know what's in your head. Looking forward to the next one!!" Sydney S.

"What a great workshop!....I love moving fast through things and being able to cover so much. Thanks so much for loving what you do!" Carol G.
